A growing independent music resource hub for free downloads, drum kits, soundfonts, playlists, audio tools, and creative experiments.
Zanderjaz.com is an independent music and creative technology website built around discovery, experimentation, and useful resources for producers, musicians, beatmakers, and curious creators.
The site launched in 2015 as a place to share and organize music resources, including drum kits, soundfonts, free downloads, and original content. Over time, it has grown into a broader creative hub with playlists, audio tools, VSTs, metadata features, and future projects built around sound.

The Mission
The mission of Zanderjaz.com is to give back to the music production community by making useful resources easier to find. Drum kits, soundfonts, free downloads, plugin links, samples, and creative tools can make a real difference for people who are learning, experimenting, or trying to make music without a big budget.
This site exists to help producers, musicians, beatmakers, and curious creators find resources that can keep their creativity moving. Not everyone has the money to buy expensive software or premium sound packs, and not everyone knows where to start. Zanderjaz.com is my way of helping make the path a little easier.
Zanderjaz.com has operated since 2015 and has never been a profit-making project. Hosting, maintenance, research, development, and ongoing improvements have kept it running at a financial loss. I keep it online because I believe the resource still has value for people who are creating music.
Why I Built This Site
I built Zanderjaz.com because I wanted a place that felt more like my own corner of the internet. A place where music tools, creative experiments, and useful resources could live together without being buried inside social media feeds or locked behind some bloated platform.
I have always liked building things on the web, and I have always been drawn to music technology. This site is where those two interests meet.
The Name and Logo
The Zanderjaz name ties to Alexander, my middle name. I put a lot of thought into the spelling and feel of the word because I wanted something original, creative, and personal.
The site has been online since 2015, and much of the identity work happened in those early years. The square symbol logo came together around 2016, arranged in a 3×3 grid as a simple mark for the project.
Orange became part of the identity too. In Chaldean numerology, “ZANDERJAZ” adds up to 33 / 6. In Pythagorean numerology, “orange” also adds up to 33. I do not expect every visitor to care about numerology, but those details helped shape a name, color, and symbol that felt distinct.
Zanderjaz was never meant to feel like a generic brand. It was meant to feel like its own world.
Who Runs Zanderjaz?
Zanderjaz.com is built and maintained by James Swearengin, a web designer and developer who has been building websites since the late 1990s.
Outside of Zanderjaz, I work on WordPress sites, custom plugins, audio players, front-end interfaces, and practical web tools. Zanderjaz is where I can keep things more creative, music-focused, experimental, and personal.
Respect for Creators
I respect the work that goes into creating sounds, samples, plugins, presets, and other music resources. If you believe a sound, file, download, or resource on Zanderjaz.com has been shared without permission, please contact me and I will review it as soon as possible.
If there is a legitimate issue, I will gladly remove the file, link, or reference ASAP. The goal of this site is to help creators, not to take credit for someone else’s work or distribute anything that should not be shared.
What’s Next
Zanderjaz.com is still growing. The next phase is focused on improving the download sections, expanding the music player experience, organizing drum kits, soundfonts, VSTs, playlists, and metadata more clearly, and making the site easier to browse.
The goal is simple: keep building a useful, creative music resource that gets better over time.
